Martin Culling rest in peace.

Wessex Karate Academy is mourning the sudden death of one of its students, Martin Culling. Martin had trained on and off at the club for many years gaining the rank of 6th Kyu in 2008. Martin suffered from depression and anxiety and used his training as away of dealing with it. He was a very popular member of the group; always very encouraging to all students he worked with especially younger karate-ka. He was a very active member of the club making sure he attended all events that the club put on. Martin leaves a wife and two daughters and his friends at Wessex offer all his family their heart felt condolences at this difficult time.

Sensei Pete will take a monthly class every third Saturday morning at South Hill Community Center, Weymouth with a weekly invite only class for the more advanced students held on a Friday night in Dorchester.

The classes are open to all Wessex students from 3rd Kyu + and all other martial arts students ranked 1st Dan or higher.
