Safeguarding Statement
Wessex Karate Academy holds safeguarding, mental health and well-being as a priority within our club. Some of our members have shared how karate has been a lifeline during the Covid-19 pandemic. We ask that members approach either Sensei Pete or our welfare officer, Carly 07850 732303 if you have been affected by the pandemic or have longer term needs that can be born in mind when considering individual needs within the club.
Secondly, our club wish to make an ‘only way is Wessex Karate’ short film. Watch this space! Filming short stories of how karate has helped you personally with mental health or diagnosed needs within the pandemic. This film can help advertise and apply for much needed funding. Please approach Pete, Aaron or Carly if you wish to take part or have a story to share.
